FREEVOLT est un groupe de rock indépendant alternatif, créé en 2008 par Frédéric (Fredox) Rességuier et Frédéric (Muppet) Pasco et rejoints plus tard par Philippe (Filou) Neil et Philippe (Koff) Jitnikoff.
Mai 2013, Koff s'envole pour de nouvelles aventures à l'étranger et Charles (Charly) Tilly rejoint le groupe.
Décembre 2013, Charly part explorer d'autres chemins musicaux et Dan Laurens rejoint le groupe en tant que 2ème guitariste et vocaliste.
Ingénieur du son de formation, Dan a été le guitariste de KarmaStone et The Ting Tings, et a accompagné des artistes tel que Louis Bertignac, Izia, M, Michel Gondry, etc.
4 électrons libres sous haute tension ! Passionnés de rock alternatif et accros à la scène (plus de 80 live shows à travers la France, le Canada et l’Irlande du Nord dans divers lieux - bars, cafés, boîtes de nuits, studio showcases, festivals, etc.) leur fort penchant pour la culture underground donne un grain unique à leur son. Un melting-pot de pop, punk, rock, fusion…
Une voix rocailleuse, une basse envoûtante, des riffs de guitares hypervoltatoires, le tout syncopé par une batterie aux accents vintage et sensiblement énervés.
A chaque concert, on découvre un groupe inventif et surprenant. Du plaisir en barres à entrer dans leur délire. Une expérience unique, une émotion palpable et des sensations qui font souvent dresser les poils. Bref, FREEVOLT envoie du bois et des watts terriblement bien !

En 2009, FREEVOLT sort leur premier EP "The Otherside", enregistré, mixé et masterisé par Philippe Palanque, de Montréal.
En 2011, ils partent à Montréal pour 4 concerts, puis enchaînent sur le sud-ouest de la France.
En mars 2012, ils enregistrent leur nouvel album "Call me at night" au Studio33, en Normandie, qui sort fin 2012 et qui est depuis régulièrement diffusé sur plus de 70 radios, webradios, webTVs en France, Belgique, Canada et en Suisse et qui commence à être diffusé dans d'autres pays du monde (notamment au Royaume Uni et en Irlande).
Octobre 2013, Freevolt envahit l’Irlande du Nord, pour leur IRISH TOUR 2013… Belfast, Derry, Bangor, côte nord… où ils ont partagé la scène avec des groupes rock et punk du pays, tels The Wood Burning Savages, Control Zone, Stop Stop Start Again, No Matter et Shock Treatment 21.
Courant 2014, des concerts sont prévus en France avec Penny Was Right, 2Sisters, Deeva, Empreintes et A-Vox. En mai 2014, Freevolt sera à l’affiche du Gones’n’live Festival, avec des groupes comme Café Bertrand, Cause, Bagdad Rodéo, Jezabellia, etc. Avant de faire un live au parc de Bécon (Courbevoie) , puis de s'envoler en juin pour le BBA, festival punk rock à Bangor, au coté de groupes mythiques tels que GBH, The Outcasts, The Defects, King Kurt, Paranoid Visions, etc…
En parallèle, FREEVOLT a été sélectionné par le public et un jury de professionnels de la musique pour figurer sur la compilation réalisée par Dooweet et l’Indien Boutique qui sera distribuée prochainement dans des cafés, bars, journaux, magasins de musique et boutiques de vêtements branchées rock en France.
Février 2014, FREEVOLT vient d'être sélectionné comme un des 20 groupes de toute la région Ile de France, choisi avec leur titre "Take A Toy" pour figurer sur la compil "Plus de Musique 2014" produit par Le Son du Coin.
La musique et les paroles (en anglais) sont composées par les 4 membres du groupe.
Les dernières dates incluent des lieux bien connus à Paris comme La Cigale, le Trabendo, la Boule Noire, le Batofar, le Nouveau Casino, le Gibus, l'Etage, le Paris Poppins ...
Le bon esprit, le sens du live et du contact font de FREEVOLT un groupe atypique.

FREEVOLT is an underground, indie and alternative rock band created in 2008 by Frédéric Rességuier (Fredox) and Frédéric Pasco (Muppet).
The duo were rapidly joined by Philippe Neil (Filou) and Philippe Jitnikoff (Koff). May 2013, Koff flew off to new adventures abroad and Charles Tilly (Charly) joined the band.
In December 2013, Charly left the band to explore new musical paths.
In January 2014, Dan Laurens, a magical guitarist with years of experience, joined Freevolt as second guitarist and vocalist.
Expert sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist, Dan has played with a myriad of groups like KarmaStone, The Ting Tings, and has accompanied Louis Bertignac, Izia, M, Michel Gondry, etc. for recordings and live & direct.
All four guys share an undying passion for indie rock and live performances, have great on-stage experience and know how to get a crowd moving.
FREEVOLT's great spirit, energy and love of live & direct make the band one-of-a-kind and quite unique on the French and European scene.
Each gig is pure pleasure, a one-of-a-kind experience, full of electrifying thrills and unexpected twists and turns... from Fredox's inimitable smoky vocals to Filou's juiced-up chords, Dan's ever-so-groovy melodies and finger-tricks and Muppet's sensational mental beats.
These free electrons invite us on a journey through a weaveworld of delicacy and dynamism, subtlety and spontaneity.
Recent dates have included well-known venues in Paris such as the Cigale, the Trabendo, the Boule Noire, the Batofar, the Nouveau Casino, the Gibus and many more throughout France and showcases in various festivals, nightclubs and recording studios throughout the Paris region.

The band's new album "Call Me At Night" was recorded in March 2012 at Studio 33 in Normandy, France and was publicly released at the end of 2012 and has since been regularly aired on over 70 radio stations, webradios and webTV in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and is currently starting to have worldwide exposure.
October 2013, Freevolt invaded Northern Ireland for their IRISH TOUR 2013… Belfast, Derry, Bangor, north coast… where they gigged alongside some of the country’s well-known rock and punk bands like The Wood Burning Savages, Control Zone, Stop Stop Start Again, No Matter and Shock Treatment 21.
End 2013 and early 2014, upcoming gigs in France will see them play with a range of French bands such as Penny Was Right, Deeva, 2Sisters, Ze Duo, Empreintes and A-Vox.
Spring 2014 will see them play at a range of venues such as Covent Garden Studios, the Gibus Café, Paris, Kiosques en Scène in one of the biggest public parks in the Paris region in Courbevoie, before heading down to Lyon for the 3-day/3-nite Gones’n’live Festival where they’ll gig with well-known French bands like Café Bertrand, Cause, Jezebellia, etc.
June 2014 Freevolt is listed to play at the 2-day BBA Punk Festival in Bangor, Northern Ireland along with mythic bands such as GBH, The Outcasts, The Defects, King Kurt, Paranoid Visions, etc.
During their IRISH TOUR 2014, FREEVOLT will also gig once again in Coyle’s Real Music, Hard Liquor Pub in Bangor and they have been invited to do a pre-BBA private gig on the Friday.
The band was recently selected as 1 of the 10 winners (out of a 60-band contest,where the public voted via Internet for the best bands) to feature on a compil CD that is distributed in rock bars, cafés, clothes shops etc throughout Europe (via Dooweet.org) and have been interviewed for quite a few cable TVs, web TVs and webradios over the last few months.
This week, February 2014, FREEVOLT was chosen as one of the 20 bands to be featured on the Ile de France region compil CD « Plus de Musique 2014 ».
